The Joshua Transformation Project
Organizing and Training Churches To Reduce Violence

How Does the Joshua Transformation Project Work?
The Joshua Partnership Project is "neighborhood specific project". That is, we organize and train churches in the "same neighborhood" or same demographic area of their city, how to develop a united front against violence, drugs, gangs, and criminal activity. Churches in partnership with each other, and the neighborhood community, is the catalyst for change to stop the killing and reduce violence. We are losing too many of our young people to gun violence. The result of this church based neighborhood organizing and training is a reduction in loss of life, less violence, less crime, and safer communities.

How Does the Joshua Transformation Project Church Based Training Reduce the Violence?
The First Stage of training provides the churches with skills in how to build capacity with key neighborhood stakeholders and law enforcement agencies, and other neighborhood groups, to develop a united front "in their neighborhood" to stop the killing and combat the crime and violence. Each participating church in a specific neighborhood (neighborhoods for training are typically selected based on the high incidents, of murder, drug use, and violent crimes), is required to send representatives to be trained by our Certified Joshua Partnership Trainers. Our certified trainers are the best in the country for this unique faith based training.  The only one of its kind.
The first stage will also include training on the development of a well organized Neighborhood Evangelistic Tent Crusade, where all the neighborhood churches come together 3 times a year to spread the Gospel under an outdoor tent. This is the core value of the Joshua Transformation Project, churches being used by God in saving souls in a collective neighborhood effort. In addition to new neighborhood violence reduction programs, souls will be saved and lives will be changed.

The Second Stage of training addresses skill development for churches to do neighborhood need assessments to identify new needed programs and initiatives to reduce the crime and violence in the neighborhood.

The Third Stage of training provides neighborhood church trainees with knowledge and skills on how to write faith based grants and community based programs, and how to secure funding based on the need assessments in the second stage of training. These will be the "new" neighborhood programs that will offset the killing and neighborhood violence. These new programs will help create a culture of peace in each neighborhood. Additionally, in this stage the training will include how to develop a "Neighborhood Clergy/Police Relations Council" to secure support for police efforts in the neighborhood, and to hold police accountable to the misuse of deadly force, to uphold citizens constitutional rights when, and if, abused.

The Fourth Stage of training will give neighborhood churches knowledge and skills on how to identify and create new neighborhood businesses so they can create new jobs and job training programs for the unemployed in the neighborhood.

There will be information on: Resolving Community Based Conflict; How to Write Faith Based Prison Reentry Programs, Ending Mass Incarceration; How to Build a Neighborhood Unified Approach for Violence Prevention; How To Adopt At-Risk Families In Distressed Neighborhoods; Gang Intervention Strategies; How to Get Guns off The Street;  There will be a Foundation Manual offered with over 200 foundations that fund community and faith based efforts and much more.  "LET'S STAND TOGETHER AS CHURCHES AND STOP THE VIOLENCE AND KILLING "
